Real American BBQ
In 2009 we traveled from Kentucky to Texas following the Southern Food Alliance BBQ Trail in search of the “best” BBQ. Our goal was to meet BBQ experts and die-hard fans in order to learn about regional techniques and bring these secrets back to The Tavern. Although BBQ lovers from Memphis to Houston swear by their own tried and true methods, we found that each region offers something distinct and equally tasty.
Using techniques discovered along the BBQ Trail, we wood-smoke our own meats, making The Tavern one of the few places in Europe you can get authentic American BBQ. Our specialty smoked BBQ pulled pork sandwiches are topped with coleslaw and tangy plum-brandy BBQ sauce and served on a homemade butter bun. We also cater full BBQ parties, offering smoked, roasted meats and classic Southern side dishes such as baked beans, macaroni & cheese, corn bread, buttermilk biscuits, and desserts made from scratch.
